A brief history of the school. Community Secondary School (CSS) Ahoko was established on the 1st of September, 2009 by the Ahoko community in kogi (koton-karfe)local government area of kogi state, Nigerian. The school with the motto : knowledge is power", is established with the aim of bringing education especially at the senior secondary level closer to the communities surrounding Ahoko and Ahoko town itself and to western education in this areas. Community Secondary School, Ahoko formally opened for academic activities on the 14th of September, 2009 for it's first academic session which is the 2009/2010 academic session. The school started this session with a total of five (5) teachers and twenty two (22) students all of whom were in the SS one class.
The school was headed by philemon. T. Ali and isah musa as the pioneer principal and vice principal respectively . Community Secondary School also started with a classroom which was given to it by the Ahoko community and later got two (2) additional classes. One of these classes was used as a staffroom and as an office.
The school has some management committees which are to help see through the affairs of the school. They are:1.examination,2.displinary,3.social committee, 4.clubs& societies committee.
In the same vain the school equally appointed the students representative which have musa abubakar, Usman hawakulu as the pioneer headboy and head girl respectively.
